BACT SET TO LAUNCH RAMADAN LEAGUE

BURTON Albion Community Trust are pleased to announce the launch of the Ramadan Football League. The league will commence on Tuesday 15th May at Anglesey 3G pitch from 7:30-9:30pm and will run every Tuesday and Sunday evening until Tuesday 12th June.

The aim of the Ramadan League is for Muslims who have been fasting to come and participate in a fun but competitive league and burn a few extra calories before indulging in their iftaar (sunset) meal.

There will be NO COST to enter the league, but entries are limited to 8 teams. Teams are selected on a first come first serve basis. Teams will consist of 8 players (6 players & 2 subs). All players must be 18 and over to be eligible to play. Games will be 30 minutes straight through, with no half-time intervals.

“This will be our very first Ramadan League and we’re really excited for it to start. This project is a great example of how we can reach out to all aspects of our community”
