BURTON Albion FC and Burton Albion Community Trust are pleased to once again be working in partnership with Burton Hospitals Foundation Trust to offer members of the local community the opportunity to access a prostate cancer screening. The screenings are open to any male aged 50 and over and will take place at the Pirelli Stadium on Wednesday 29th and Thursday 30th March. To book an appointment call 01283 593172.

BACT were commended for introducing prostate checks for fans in conjunction with Queen’s Hospital which ultimately led to 11 of the 130 fans tested being referred to hospital, diagnosed with prostate cancer and receiving treatment. The club also supports Prostate Cancer UK throughout the season.

A programme of free screenings took place at the Pirelli Stadium in 2016 conducted by health professionals. These were fully-booked and resulted in 113 men being tested, with eight going on to be diagnosed with cancer.
