Chris is a qualified executive, business and behavioural coach, with a degree in coaching from Leeds University and over 550 hours of coaching time logged to date. He is also an NLP Practitioner and a Qualified Hypnotherapist.
Chris is a humanist and passionately believes in the capacity of the human spirit to overcome as well as to succeed. His strong personal values of respect and humility shape both his own outlook on life but more importantly his coaching signature presence and the interaction with his clients.
Prior to his coaching career he spent 36 successful years with Johnson & Johnson, during which time Chris held many senior positions throughout the Corporation, right across EMEA. So this career professional is available to bring his knowledge of the healthcare environment and the dynamics of the corporate system together to bring clarity and value to our working lives.
His key skills are the management of change, personally or organisationally. His experience covers the importance of networks, effective and clear strategies, process improvement, talent management linked with personal development and customer relationships.
Since retiring from Johnson & Johnson in 2010, Chris became an independent director on Burton Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, where he initially lead on change and people management and Chaired the Governance, Risk and Assurance Committee.
In 2011 the Trust appointed him to Chairman of the Board with Board responsibility for three hospitals in Burton, Lichfield and Tamworth, delivering health and well-being to a wide patient population. He successfully lead the Trust out of Special Measures in 2015. Chris stepped down from the Board in March 2016.
Chris brings significant personal, professional and leadership experience across both the public and private sector, and has faced significant challenges in both, which enriches and enhances his coaching credentials.Chris is delighted to be offered the opportunity to work as a Trustee with BACT and is looking forward to bringing even greater value and benefit to the staff and the participants of the Charity in the future.
