MORE support has been given towards raising money for the new BACT Astro at the Pirelli Stadium, through the help of Chris Maddox, Kuldip Jamal and Santander.
The pair, employees of Santander, wanted to donate the money that he raised from running the Derby 10k to a chosen charity, decided that BACT were the ideal charity for them. To top this off, Santander kindly offered to match fund whatever they raised from the run, to go towards the Trust.
Andy Taylor, Head of Community, said, “were very grateful for this very kind gesture. Not only is it brilliant that Chris has chosen us as a charity to donate the money towards, but were also very fortunate to have had Santander match fund whatever Chris made. We cant say thank you enough for the £1751.50 that we have received, which will be going towards what will be a fantastic community facility”.
Chris Maddox said “we really enjoyed raising money for the Burton Albion Community Trust. We chose the Derby 10k run as it was a challenge for both of us to complete. The money was raised over a number of weeks through donations from family and friends. We also ran a raffle which Burton Albion kindly donated some prizes and also local businesses such as Helen’s bakehouse and tea rooms donated raffle prizes. We look forward to continuing our relationship with you and the NCS scheme”.
