LOCAL company Palletforce is the latest business to make a donation to Burton Albion Community Trust (BACT) in order to help secure the £1m fee needed for the Community Football Centre astro.
Branston based Palletforce has donated £2,000 towards the new astro facility, which is based at the Pirelli Stadium, as it is set to open during the start of September 2016. The facility will be solely used for community use purposes and is a project that Head of Community Andy Taylor is very pleased with.
Andy Taylor said: “The donation from Palletforce is another great gesture from another local company. Without these kind of donations, the operation of securing the funds would have been a much harder task and we hope that we can repay everybody in the long-run that has supported us. The community football centre is a really exciting step in the right direction for everybody associated with BACT and we are relishing the opportunity to integrate the facility to being an integral part of community based football in the Burton area.”
Palletforce chief executive Michael Conroy said: “Palletforce is a long-term supporter of both the local community in Burton and Burton Albion FC. With our recent investment and expansion, the business is set to create an additional 100 new jobs, so it’s the perfect time for us to get even more involved in community projects – especially for young people.”
