BURTON Albion Community Trust’s Pro Team Coaching initiative has once again managed to strike a partnership with another local junior team, due to the help of a very generous donation from a local company.
Hatton United Juniors goal is to keep the cost of playing grassroots football as low as possible, however, this means that they are reliant on support from third parties to fund additional opportunities for the kids and coaches, which comes in the way of donations. At a time of rising costs and greater demands on coaches & committee members, a generous donation of £2,000 by local business FP Mcann, has meant that the junior club could strike an alliance directly with BACT to support and underpin the continued growth of the club across the community.
Matt underwood, chairman of Hatton United Junior Football Club (The Hornets) commented, “we owe a massive thanks to FP Mcann for this absolutely fantastic donation to the club. It will secure the continued development of our grassroots football proposition across Burton & South Derbyshire, not only investing in player development but also coach education, supported and under pinned by Burton Albion Community Trust of which we are proud to be a partner club!”
Scott Taylor, who runs BACT’s Pro Team Coaching Programme, said, “we are delighted to have secured yet another club to the future of the programme. We also are very grateful to the firm for making such a fabulous donation to a community football club, which will be looking after and developed by our scheme”.
