INTERESTED IN GETTING INVOLVED IN WALKING FOOTBALL?

GOLDEN Goal Football, a slow-paced version of the beautiful game aimed at the over 50s, is currently being delivered across East Staffordshire at 4 different venues.

Walking Football is designed to help people aged over 50 keep an active lifestyle, as well as getting those back playing football who had to stop due to injuries.

The new craze has been designed to get over 50s on their feet and playing a 5-a-side version of the game at a pace they are more comfortable with while meeting other local players in a relaxed environment.

Scott Taylor, Football Development Manager, said: “We have men attending weekly all from different backgrounds including people who have suffered from ill health in the past; people who are retired and people who work shifts where the timing of the sessions suits them.”

Over 50s Walking Football runs throughout the week at Burton Albion Community football centre, Anglesey Community Football Centre, De Ferrers and Uttoxeter Leisure Centre.

To take part simply come along on the day or for more information call 01283 246207 or email scott.taylor@burtonalbionct.org.
