LOCAL SCHOOLS & NURSERIES BACK BLACK & YELLOW DAY

Celebrations on Burton Albion’s promotion to League One continued this week with the help of seven different local schools and nurseries joining BACT, in a Black and Yellow Day celebration.

The day started with a trip to Horninglow Primary School, where BACT staff, along with Bettie Brewer, were greeted with a warm welcome as the League One Runners-Up Trophy was paraded around the playground and classrooms.

Next up, trips to Outwoods Primary School, Towerview School and Riverview School followed, which all again got an excellent response from pupils and staff, who posed for photographs and sang Burton Albion FC promotion songs!

The afternoon was also a major success, visiting pupils at Fountains Primary, Mosley School and Little Monster’s Nursery, who had all joined in the celebrations in their black and yellow non-uniform.

Andy Taylor, Head of Community, said “it was a great day celebrating the Brewers success with Black and Yellow Day Once again. This is this second year running that we’ve been fortunate enough to do this in schools, with the Brewers winning back to back promotions. We would like to thank everyone that has taken part and we hope that they all enjoyed the afternoon just as much as our staff and Bettie Brewer did”.
