BURTON Albion Community Trust has been able to purchase four new laptops for its Secondary Alternative Education programme, thanks to the extreme generosity of longstanding partner Pirelli.
Pirelli UK has kindly donated £1,000 to BACT which has been fully utilised in the purchase of new tech equipment.
BACT needed the laptops to increase the educational resources available to the young people and enhance their learning. That’s where Pirelli stepped in and their generosity has already hugely aided their coursework.
Sarah Evans, BACT’s Education and Employability Manager, said: “Pirelli has supported the football club and Community Trust for many years. This donation is incredibly generous and the laptops we have purchased have already had an enormous impact.
“Before the young people were just working on paper and their phones. Now they can thoroughly perform research for their courses and they are more engaged with their learning than they ever have been!”
Pirelli UK Chairman & CEO, Dominic Sandivasci, said: “It is a great pleasure that we are continuing to strengthen our partnership with Burton Albion Community Trust and the club by supporting their Secondary Alternative Education Programme. We want to wish the students good luck with their studies and hope the new equipment is a great asset to their learning.”
