IT’S off to the races for Burton Albion as the Brewers and the Burton Albion Community Trust (BACT) head to Uttoxeter Racecourse ahead of the start of the new campaign.
Uttoxeter Racecourse’s ‘family fun day’ on Sunday will see five of the seven races sponsored by Burton Albion and BACT.
Burton Albion chairman Ben Robinson and first team manager Nigel Clough will be heading to the race day.
In the Centre Course you’ll be able to find Community Trust staff and Billy Brewer, along with the inflatable football goal which is just £1 for three attempts. BACT will also be holding a bucket collection in the centre course, to raise funds for the charitable arm of the football club.
Matt Hancock, head of BACT said: “We’re delighted to be able to be at Uttoxeter as part of the family fun day which is sponsored by Burton Albion FC. As always Uttoxeter Racecourse have been great in accommodating us and allowing Burton Albion Community Trust to attend the race day. We’ll be using our inflatable goal to raise monies, as well as giving our staff an enjoyable day out.”
The Brewers will sponsor the following races:
Junior Brewers Mares’ Novices’ Hurdle
