BACT and United Biscuits continue strong partnership link to run Enterprise Academy

Enterprise Academy is a 10-week programme run in partnership with United Biscuits. Students will study the basic principles of Business and Enterprise including; customer service, marketing and promotion as well as products and services. The youngsters will gain a firm understanding of what a business is and what it takes to run successful businesses, using a theoretical but interactive approach that will help to inspire, engage and educate young people, this will enable the young people to raise their aspirations for their own future careers.

As part of the programme students will complete visits to both the Pirelli Stadium and United Biscuits headquarters in Ashby-de-la-Zouch. These companies are used as case studies to see businesses in action. This will allow students to learn first-hand the principles behind Business and Enterprise.

In the 2015-2016 academic year the programme has engaged with 192 learners, of which 106 have completed their tours of United Biscuits and Pirelli Stadium. We are looking forward to our continued work with United Biscuits and our commitment to inspire, engage and educate the borough of East Staffordshire.

This is a great opportunity for schools to get involved in, working alongside a professional football club and its ever growing Community Trust education scheme.
