BURTON Albion Community Trust (BACT) are pleased to announce Lisa Beard as the new full time Community Operations Manager.

Lisa, has a wealth of experience in management, joining from Age UK. Matt Hancock, who was previously in charge of the role, has now stepped up to Head of Community.

When asked about her new role, Lisa Beard said: “I’m very happy to be joining the Trust at such an exciting time. The fabulous new 3G facility and building for the community, along with the brand-new strategy will be the backbone that BACT will work over for the next three years.

“This is only my second week now and I have been totally overwhelmed by the spectrum of programmes that the Trust delivers and the impact it has on so many young and older people.

“Coming from a family of Burton Albion supporters, it’s also great to see the close relationship that the trust has with the football club and how they champion the programmes that are delivered in the community.

“Personally, and professionally, I’ve watched from a distance how well the Trust has developed and grown over the past few years and I truly believe that it has a tangible heartbeat within our community. I am truly honoured and delighted to be part of BACT.”

Matt Hancock, Head of Community, said: “We’re delighted to welcome Lisa on-board. She’s been with us for two weeks now and has settled straight in fantastically with everyone. It’s exciting times for everybody at the Trust and we are confident that Lisa will be a driving force behind the delivery of our ‘Inspiring Our Communities’ strategy. Both our programmes and workforce are developing all the time and with Lisa’s added knowledge and experience we’re very excited about what the future will bring.”
