FORMER Olympic Ski Jumper ‘Eddie The Eagle’ will be the guest for the evening at the Pirelli Stadium on Saturday, March 9, 2019 as part of a Burton Albion Community Trust charity event.

Join us to hear Michael Edwards story, on how he became know as ‘Eddie the Eagle’, following his British ski jumping record and stunt jumping world record jump across 6 buses.

The evening will also include a 2-course hot fork buffet, alongside a special guest host/comedian for the evening. A wide range of fantastic blind auction prizes will also be available.

Proceeds from the evening will go towards BACT’s annual volunteering trip to Ghana in Africa. The main aim of the trip is to benefit the rural communities of southern Ghana, to help under privileged children and their families. During their time there, volunteers will teach and build/renovate new rooms at a new school.

Lee Milligan, Events and Partnerships Officer, said: “We are very much looking forward to hosting our evening and it is sure to be a popular event.

“We’d like to say a special thank you to our headline sponsor, Ashfield, who have kindly donated the opportunity for us to have this event.

“The volunteers are really looking forward to the trip and all the funds raised on the evening will make such a great difference, to a fantastic cause!”
