DO you like a challenge? Are you interested in joining Burton Albion Community Trust (BACT) to help raise money to help inspire, engage and educate the local community? Then the Yorkshire 3 peaks challenge might just be the one for you?

In the past both individuals and businesses have wanted to engage with us as a charity but are often unsure how to do so. Our upcoming fundraisers, such as the Yorkshire 3 peaks challenge, are great opportunities for people to get involved, whilst having a fantastic experience at the same time.

Registration is £50, with a minimum fundraising target of just £100!

The Yorkshire 3 peaks challenge takes on Pen-y-Ghent (694m), Whernside (736m), and Ingleborough (723m), usually in this order and in under 12 hours. The 3 peaks form part of the Pennine Range and encircle the head of the valley of the River Ribble, in the Yorkshire Dales National Park.

The distance to walk is 24miles, with parking at Horton BD24 0HF. Horton train station is on the Settle to Carlisle line and there are toilets available here too. Refreshments stops are available at Horton, Ribblehead and Chapel-le-Dale finishing back at Horton.
The challenge will take place on Saturday August 25th and spaces are limited and will be filled on first come first serve basis.

Please contact Lee Milligan, BACT events and partnerships officer at to register your interest or to find out more information.
