NEW, free outdoor activities, are launching in the heart of the Burton community. Parklives has been provided through one of the Trust’s key partners ‘Street Games’ following recent Sport England funding.

All sessions are free and will commence from Tuesday 7th June between 4.30-6.30pm at Carver Road Community Park. The aim is enhance the skills, knowledge & confidence to access local parks, by inviting families to engage with their children in sport. Some of the activities which will be available for families include Cricket, Rounder’s, Football, Soccercise and many more each week.

Dan Brooks Project Coordinator said “ParkLives gives opportunities to both young people and families to keep active through sport, along with teaching life skills such as teamwork, respect and fair play. With sessions being free in local parks, this can only have a positive influence to all targeted individuals”.
