Schools and Sport

  • To develop and deliver a whole school and whole child offer which engages pupils, teachers, parents and carers.
  • To deliver primary school sport programmes that enrich and enhance the curriculum as well as impacting the whole school with literacy, numeracy and PSHE related projects.

Every week we deliver over 210 sessions in schools across Burton and East Staffordshire working in partnership with 38 Schools. We deliver sessions throughout the school day from Breakfast clubs to after school clubs. Through our delivery we impact on the whole school by providing a wide ranging offer from our core school sports delivery, which includes a teacher development programme, to programmes such as Reading Stars that instils a passion for reading in children.

We also promote healthy living through our Move and Learn and LiveWell projects where we educate the children of the importance of healthy eating and exercise.

We pride ourselves on the quality of our delivery and also the partnerships we build with the schools staff and pupils.
We work alongside school games to provide festivals and tournaments where schools get the opportunity to compete against each other and to integrate with each other through sport.

Our partner schools become part of the Burton Albion family giving them access to player appearances, mascot appearances, match day opportunities, ground tours, facility access and much more.
