BACT HOSTS ANNUAL DISABILITY AWARDS EVENING

Burton Albion Community Trust (BACT) proudly hosted its annual Disability Awards Evening for the fourth consecutive year, celebrating the achievements of participants across its disability football programmes. The event, held with over 150 guests in attendance, was a true reflection of the spirit, dedication, and impact of inclusive sport in the local community.

The evening recognised the hard work and success of individuals and teams from across BACT’s disability provision, which supports a diverse range of age groups, abilities, and needs. Participants, families, coaches, and supporters gathered to reflect on a productive and inspiring season.

Ben Webster, Sport and Community Inclusion Manager at BACT, said:
“It was amazing to be able to champion our disability provision at our annual awards evening, and congratulations to all our participants on a productive season and to the awards winners.

At BACT, we’re proud to support disability football provision across a range of age groups, abilities, and needs. We’d also like to thank our programme sponsors, Holiday Inn, for supporting our disability football provision.”

Charles Sketchley, Disability Co-ordinator at BACT, added: “This evening was a powerful reminder that sport is for everyone. We were proud to celebrate the resilience, hard work, and accomplishments of our disabled athletes, whose stories continue to motivate and uplift our entire club community.”

BACT’s disability programmes continue to grow year on year, providing safe, supportive, and engaging environments for people with disabilities to enjoy football and develop key life skills.
