DE FERRERS TRUST NAMED AS VOLUNTEER SPONSOR FOR BREWERS 10K

The de Ferrers Trust has been named as the volunteer sponsor of this year’s Brewers 10K.

The de Ferrers Trust is a mixed multi-academy trust based in Staffordshire and Derbyshire. The Trust currently consists of seven schools, which educates more than 5,500 children and young people between the ages of 3 and 19 and employ over 650 members of staff.

Last year’s inaugural 10K race was a brilliant event that brought the whole community together thanks in part to the incredible work of the volunteers that made it possible.

The event will need just a few spare hours of time to complete, and volunteers are needed to help marshal the race, help out around the runner’s village and most importantly, cheer on the runners.

Head of Community, Will Evans said: “The work volunteers do on a regular basis for Burton Albion Football and the Community Trust goes under the radar sometimes but is valued enormously.

“The Brewers 10K can’t take place without the huge effort from volunteers and in turn they also made last year a huge success for the community, and we can’t wait to see what this year will bring.”

CEO of the Trust, Kathy Hardy said “We are delighted to be a partner for this event. Many of us thoroughly enjoyed either running or volunteering last year. We have such a positive working relationship with the Burton Albion Community Trust & Burton Albion Football Club. We look forward to the race and seeing everyone involved. We hope many of our families and staff sign up!”
