Premier League Inspires

What is Premier League Inspires?

Premier League Inspires is a personal development programme launched in 2019 by the Premier League, professional football clubs, and the PFA. It supports young people aged 11–18 who are at risk of not reaching their potential, helping them build life skills and positive attitudes through mentoring, workshops, and social-action projects in schools and referral units. Over 30,000 participants have benefitted so far.

This flexible programme allows students to explore a wide range of meaningful topics over either a 6-week or 12-week period, with both options leading to a recognised qualification. The content is tailored to suit different key stages:

KS3: Topics focus on building self-esteem, enhancing emotional wellbeing, and developing interpersonal skills.

KS4: Topics centre around career planning, setting future aspirations, and preparing for life beyond school.

Themed Days and Workshops

Careers Events, Careers Days, Equality and Inclusion, No Room for Racism

Premier League Challenge

The Premier League Inspires Challenge empowers young people to work in small groups to tackle real issues in their communities through creative social action projects. Supported by the Premier League and its partners, the Challenge helps participants develop teamwork, leadership, and problem-solving skills—while top teams earn the chance to present their ideas to the Premier League.

Primary to Secondary School Transition

6-weeks in year 6 and 6-weeks in year 7 to support students transitioning. Based around resilience, friendships, wellbeing and support.

Changemakers Qualification

Through the Premier League Charitable Fund, it empowers participants through leadership activities and social action projects focused on gender equality and mental health.

The programme aims to build confidence, develop essential life skills, and inspire young women to make a positive impact in their communities.

Mentoring

Get personalised support with 1:1 mentoring sessions. Students spend 30 to 60 minutes with a dedicated mentor focused entirely on their goals. Build confidence, explore potential, and get guidance tailored just for each student.
