Burton Albion’s James Jones Inspires Young People at Premier League Kicks Session

Burton Albion first-team player James Jones visited our Premier League Kicks session at Winshill on Tuesday 28th October, bringing energy and inspiration to the local community. James spent time engaging with local volunteers, the Mayor Kim Smith, and joined participants in carving pumpkins in preparation for Halloween.

Premier League Kicks harnesses the power of football and sport to help young people reach their potential. The programme provides opportunities for those at risk of anti-social behaviour, youth violence, or from high-need areas to regularly take part in football, sport, mentoring, and personal development activities.

Ben Webster, Sport and Community Inclusion Manager, said:
“It’s amazing to have the support of the men’s first team engaging with the local community. Positive player involvement can help participants enhance self-esteem, confidence, social skills, and foster a real sense of belonging.”
