Burton Albion Community Football Centre and the Street Soccer Foundation.
Burton Albion Community Football Centre proudly participated in the Street Soccer Foundation Legacy Cup, highlighting the incredible journey of individuals enrolled in Burton Albion’s Street Soccer Academy. This initiative is more than just football; it is a programme designed to empower participants and help them unlock their full potential.
The Street Soccer Academy is a free 10-week personal development programme that combines high-quality football coaching with mindset training and employability skills workshops. Delivered in collaboration with community partners such as YMCA Burton, the programme provides an integrated approach to personal growth. Participants gain confidence, resilience, and practical tools to transform their lives, all through the unifying power of sport.
By competing in the national tournament, our participants demonstrated not only their footballing ability but also the personal progress they have made throughout the academy. Their involvement reflects Burton Albion’s commitment to using football as a catalyst for positive change helping individuals build brighter futures and stronger communities.
The Street Soccer Foundation National Tournament took place at the iconic Derby Racecourse, bringing together teams from across the country for an inspiring day of football and community spirit. The atmosphere was electric as participants from various Street Soccer Academies displayed their skills, determination, and teamwork on the pitch.
BACT is committed to welcoming new referrals into Burton Albion’s Street Soccer Academy and strengthening partnerships across Burton and East Staffordshire as the programme develops, to help create a healthier, more connected community.
