BACT AND LOCAL PRIMARY SCHOOLS ATTEND ENGLAND UNDER-21S TRAINING AT ST. GEORGE’S PARK

BURTON Albion Community Trust and six local primary schools received a very special treat as they were invited to watch England’s under-21 men’s squad train at St. George’s Park.

The event was very kindly organised by the FA as a showcase to local schools Thomas Russell, Rykneld, Windsor Park, Yoxall and Heathfields.

After a quick introduction in the futsal hall, the excited youngsters made their way to the pitch to watch the likes of Morgan Gibbs-White, Harvey Elliot and co show off their skills during training for their upcoming fixtures.

When the session finished, the players took time out to sign autographs and pose for photos to the delight of the children. They were also provided with a ticket for them and a guardian to watch England U21’s upcoming fixture against France.

School Sport Coordinator Reece Brown said: “Today has been amazing. The kids were buzzing even when they set foot at St. George’s Park, so when they met their heroes at the end their faces were wonderful to see. We can’t thank the FA enough for the opportunity.”
