BURTON Albion Community Trust recently hosted it’s first-ever disability football tournament recently.
Five SEND schools from the East-Staffordshire and surrounding areas across the primary and secondary age groups attended the tournament in what was a wonderful showcase for disability football.
With plenty of incredible football on display, the tournament was also a perfect way for disability children to get into the sport.
“Our SEND tournament has been lovely and judging by all the smiles on the children’s faces I think they did too. We want to create as many opportunities as possible for disability children to play football and even progress to a higher level. Hopefully this is just the first of many tournaments” said BACT disability coordinator Charles Sketchley.
