BACT are pleased to share the news that two appointments have been made to its leadership team, and sadly there will also be one departure from the leadership team.
Paul Gaskin our Community Manager will leave BACT on August 9th to take up a new role with Leicestershire Cricket Club. Paul joined BACT in 2018, and has been part of the management and leadership team for over 5 years. He has been part of many of the successes of the trust but notably has grown our kicks provision and led our international projects.
Everyone at BACT is sad to see Paul leave and we wish him well in his future.
However, we are pleased to announce that Katie Johnson will become our new Community Manager. Katie joined BACT full time in 2016 after 2 years as a casual member of staff. Katie has blossomed and grown with BACT from delivering in school sport projects, to coordinating and overseeing our school sport team and more recently has been our Education Manager.
Katie will oversee the trusts day to day operations working alongside our theme managers, she will also develop and grow our events and fundraising projects and ensure BACT facilities remain our points of difference.
There is also change in our Health and Wellbeing theme with Suzanne Syson becoming our Health and Wellbeing Manager. Suzanne has a wealth of experience and knowledge forged from a career in the NHS as a nurse educator and manager.
Working with our Health and Wellbeing team Suzanne will develop and grow our Community Health offer across our themes of work.
Head of Community, John Widdowson, said “I am really pleased that Katie and Suzanne have the opportunity to help BACT to continue to make a difference in the community. Their appointments will ensure that we continue to develop, grow and deliver high quality projects.
I can’t thank Paul enough for all he has done at BACT, he has been a valued member of the team and has always gone above and beyond to do all he can for BACT.”
