BACT NAMED AS BROUGHTON HEATH GOLF CLUB’S CHARITY OF THE YEAR

BURTON Albion Community Trust is delighted to be named Charity of the Year of Broughton Heath Golf Club for 2022/23.

Broughton Heath is an 18 hole, par 3 golf course based in Church Broughton, Derbyshire and is one of the longest par 3 courses in the country. The course fills the gap between a regular pitch and putt course, and a full size par 72 course.

Funds raised from the partnership will go towards supporting BACT’s Ability counts disability football provision. The club have also generously donated the course as the venue for BACT’s up and coming Charity Golf League.

BACT Partnerships and Events Manager Stefanie White said: “We are hugely privileged to have been selected by Broughton Heath and captain Pat and their charity of the year. The club is so well run and is a lovely place to be and we can’t thank them enough for allowing us to host our Charity Golf League on their course. We are very excited to see what the next year has in store.

Club captain Pat Westwood said: “We chose Burton Albion Community Trust because we have heard very good reports about the work that they do for individuals of all ages and the community in general. With that in mind and they are a local charity and we wanted to support as much as we could in my year as Captain of Broughton Heath Golf Club.”
