BILLY and Bettie Brewer have been present at a number of community events recently.
Battling extreme heat amongst other weather conditions, the two mascots have appeared at summer fairs to support one of our partners Trent & Dove. The events have taken place at venues across Burton upon Trent and Uttoxeter.
The highlight of all the events was the Stapenhill fair where over 600 people were in attendance and Billy Brewers had a wonderful afternoon on the teacups, playing with Llamas and much more!
Trent & Dove is a housing association, offering a multitude of services including shared ownership and support services and have been a long-term partner of Burton Albion Community Trust.
Business Development manager Stefanie White said: “We are delighted to be able to support our community in a vast amount of aways and this is a big one. Having a regular presence at these amazing events cements the long-term partnership is a brilliant thing. All of the families loved playing with Billy and I’m pretty sure he did too!”.
Emma Sarjeant, Trent & Dove Customer Engagement Officer said: “We’ve loved having Burton Albion Community Trust and in particular, Billy Brewer. The kids see Billy and the Burton Albion badge and immediately their faces light up!
“We wanted to ensure local families had a very affordable day to remember, and the feedback shows just how much these events have been valued by the community.
“It’s been a brilliant couple of months, and we can’t wait for the next opportunity to see Billy out and about at one of our events”.
