Burton Albion Community Trust (BACT) was proud to play a key role in this year’s Burton Albion Family Fun Day, held at Uttoxeter Racecourse on Sunday 26 July. The popular event welcomed families, local organisations and supporters from across the region for a day filled with fun, entertainment, and community spirit.
As Uttoxeter Racecourse’s official charity partner, BACT helped bring the event to life, with one of the standout attractions being the much-loved Mascot Race. A lively crowd gathered to cheer on a fantastic line-up of mascots representing clubs and organisations from across the Midlands, including:
• Billy Brewer – Burton Albion
• Archie – Uttoxeter Racecourse
• Boomer – Port Vale
• Pottermus – Stoke City
• Filbert Fox – Leicester City
After an exciting dash to the finish line, Billy Brewer emerged victorious for the second consecutive year, claiming the winner’s trophy and securing a £200 donation for Burton Albion Community Trust. The prize money will contribute to the Trust’s ongoing work, supporting programmes that make a positive difference to people and communities throughout East Staffordshire.

BACT would like to thank all the clubs, mascots and volunteers who took part in the mascot race, as well as Uttoxeter Racecourse for hosting and organising such a successful event. Their commitment, enthusiasm and support helped create a fantastic atmosphere and ensured a memorable day for everyone in attendance.
