CARAYOL AND KAMWA VISIT LOCAL PRIMARY SCHOOL

BURTON Albion players Mustapha Carayol and Bobby Kamwa swapped kicking a ball for throwing one yesterday, as Brewers pair took part in a dodgeball session at Rykneld Primary School.

The forwards took part in dodgeball activities, before hosting a Q&A and signing programmes for the excited youngsters. A group photo was the perfect end to the session as duo posed for photos with the class.

Carayol, who is the club’s PFA Primary Schools Ambassador, said: “I’ve not played dodgeball in a while but it was definitely good fun. There were definitely some good players in there who landed some good shots on me and Bobby.

“It was a great appearance and we really enjoyed our time at the school. Burton Albion does lots of great work in the community and I’ve been really impressed ever since I joined.

“Being at this club, it is clear that the local community is at the heart of everything it does and all the lads buy into it.”

School Sport Manager Katie Johnson said: “The kids always love it when the players come into their school. We say it enough, but we are so grateful for the relationship with the football club and having regular access to the players out in the community on a weekly basis. ”
