BREWERS first team star Gassan Ahadme was in attendance today as he visited a Burton Albion Community Trust Soccer Camp.
The striker spent his time answering questions about his career and his childhood heroes before taking part in a crossbar challenge.
Despite not hitting the bar, the young participants still loved the time spent with the Spanish-born player. Ahadme revealed that the funniest player in the first team dressing room is Johnny Smith and his childhood hero was Cristiano Ronaldo.
Gassan said: “It was an enjoyable morning. Seeing so many young kids enjoying football at such a young age is a joy to see. Some of the questions they asked were tough, but it was all good fun!”
Community Engagement Manager Paul Gaskin said: “Having a first team player drop into our soccer camps is always a joy to see. In the last couple of years, we’ve been so limited on appearances because of Covid so it’s brilliant to have one before the season has even started and we can’t wait for more to come.”
The soccer camps are running all over the school summer holidays and end on August 25th at two different locations, with one taking place at the Community Football Centre and the other at Holland Sports Club in Barton. There’s lots of football fun and games on each day across our two locations so don’t miss out.
