BURTON Albion first team stars Sam Hughes and Thierry Latty-Fairweather went back to school as they joined in with a PE session at local primary school Holy Trinity.
The two Brewers stars took part in a game of hopscotch before being quizzed on the life of a footballer in a Q&A.
The afternoon concluded with the two players signing programmes and posing for photos with the students.
Sam Hughes, Burton Albion centre-back, said: “The kids have been brilliant this afternoon. It took me back to my school days. It’s brilliant to see kids so involved in school and hopefully we have some future Brewers on our hands.”
Katie Johnson, BACT School Sport Manager, said: “We are very fortunate to have the relationship we do with the football club and be able to send the first team lads out into the community on a frequent basis. The players almost get as much out of it as the kids.”
