SMITH AND MOON VISIT LOCAL PRIMARY SCHOOL

BURTON Albion men’s first team players Jonny Smith and Jasper Moon got stuck into a PE session when they visited local primary school Edge Hill.

The Brewers winger and centre-half took part in a game of tag before swapping kicking a ball for hitting it with a stick in a competitive game of hockey.

After the session the two took time to answer questions about football, FIFA and life before posing for photos with the groups.

Smith said: “I’ve certainly not played much hockey recently it was definitely something different!

“The kids were brilliant fun and it was nice to do something different and muck in with the kids.”

Burton Albion Community Trust School Sport coordinator Reece Brown said: “The kids have been excited for a long time since I told them the first team lads were coming and they absolutely loved the time with them.

“I think a few of the kids were giving them hockey pointers.”

“We can never say enough how lucky we are to have such a close relationship with the club and hopefully we can welcome the players back to Edge Hill soon.”
