THE Brewers 10K is back – with the 2023 date confirmed as Sunday, October 8.
The inaugural race held in 2022 was hailed as a great community event with hundreds of runners taking part. It was the first closed road race in Burton’s history.
Now, the second race has been confirmed with entries open soon.
In the meantime, Burton Albion is looking for sponsors and partners to come and support this great occasion which aims to raise funds for Burton Albion Community Trust, the charity arm of the club.
Burton Albion Chairman Ben Robinson said: “The first event received tremendous support from the community and now we are looking for the second race to be even bigger and better in 2023.
“We are also looking for partners and sponsors to join us in supporting the community with lots of opportunities to get involved and help us continue to grow the Brewers 10K.”
Stefanie White, BACT Partnerships and Events Manager, said: “After the success of last year’s event we know even more people will want to take part or be involved in the Brewers 10K. It’s helping put the town of Burton on the map as well as raising funds that BACT can use to help make an even greater impact in the community.
“Anyone wishing to sponsor or partner with us should get in touch and will receive a very warm welcome.”
Referred to as a ‘lollipop route’, the race will start and finish at the Pirelli Stadium. The run will then feature a route through the main roads of Stretton and Rolleston.
The whole route is closed off and is a perfect run for beginners, people that want to beat their PB, or for those that want to run for fun.
Anyone can enter the race and it can be taken at any pace. Entry details will be released soon.
