BURTON ALBION COMMUNITY TRUST CELEBRATES REMARKABLE ACHIEVEMENTS IN 2023-24 IMPACT REPORT

BURTON Albion Community Trust (BACT) is proud to announce the release of its 2023-2024 Impact Report, showcasing a year of significant growth, community engagement, and positive outcomes.

Throughout the year, Burton Albion Community Trust reached 17,523 people through various initiatives and programs. This represents a 24% increase in participants year on year, demonstrating growing community involvement. A total of 52 projects and programmes were delivered, covering a wide range of community needs. Participants experienced significant improvements in mental wellbeing, and there was universal improvement in physical wellbeing for all attendees of our projects and programmes.

The 2023-2024 period has been a remarkable year for Burton Albion Community Trust, marked by numerous achievements and impactful initiatives. Our Football & Education Boys Team celebrated a league victory, showcasing the talent and dedication of our young athletes. The Secondary Education Mentoring Team gained valuable experience and exposure by participating in a prestigious tournament at Nottingham Forest. The Brewers First Team brought joy and support to patients with a heartwarming visit to the local hospital. We proudly hosted a tournament for England Walking Football, featuring teams from various nations and promoting active lifestyles. Our International Volunteering Project made a meaningful contribution to global community development with a visit to Ghana. Additionally, the Women and Girls Teams highlighted the importance of female participation in sports by taking over the Burton Albion fixture against Peterborough.

BACT Chair Phil Pusey said: “Our mission to make a positive difference in our communities through the power of sport and the brand of Burton Albion Football Club continues to thrive. This year’s impact report is a testament to the dedication and hard work of our team, volunteers, and partners.”

The increase in participation levels and the wide range of successful projects reflect our commitment to enhancing the wellbeing of our community. The BACT Impact Report 2023-2024 was compiled using multiple data sources, including participant feedback, programme information, and first-person case studies. The report underscores the trust’s ongoing commitment to social, community, and economic impact.
